You guys are in this for money. Not for reaching people with the Gospel. You admit you have flawed approaches and flawed theology and yet you won't take the time to fix the problem, you want to just keep putting it out there as is so that you can hopefully get an audience. Why bother to present a "Christian" comic if it doesn't bring glory to God? Remember what Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 10:31?
31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

What is wrong with you? Mr. Davis clearly said that their intent was to serve God and they may not reach everybody. He also said that he respects your right to criticize and question. In fact he was elegant and respectful in his statements. He never said that The Guardian Line would not fix the problem, in fact he said they were flawed and admitted there were problems. Is that not the Christian way? We are flawed and strive to the Lord's way as humans.
I am the Youth Minister of a youth group and I love God and his teachings. I don’t like Genesis 5 but I love Joe and Max and the Seekers. I applaud the efforts of Mr. Davis and The Guardian Line in bringing positive Christian values to the world even if some of what I see I don’t agree with.
Your ranting is why so many people think Christians are crazy. If things are not JUST HOW YOU SEE IT-then it must be wrong. Why is your way the only way that people must see God? Who made you the overseer of good Christian content? What makes your view any better than my view?
You attack and attack and attack. What did Mr. Davis do? He embraced your comments and took the time to respond with respect. Which seems like the more Christian act? As I said you are the kind of person that makes people think that Christians are crazy or not open to any other way of thinking. Shameful!
You say they are in it for the money-that is the stupidest thing I have heard in all the stupid things you have said. EVERYBODY knows the faster way to make money is by embracing all things that are NOT GOD connected, and are in the flesh.
Lastly there are ‘other’ Christian’ comics books out there. Some are very good-some are so bad they are laughable, much like the unproportionate drawings from the Archangel series you quote. But I try and support them because as Mr. Davis said we all have the same goal. Or is your goal to just attack until people just see things your way?
As far as being flawed-are you not? I am glad you have said goodbye to The Guardian Line. I will be more than happy to continue to present them to my group and discuss the things that I feel that are right and not right within the books. You know why, because God gave us free will to do so.
For you to rant like this and attack a Christian publisher or anybody who admits they are only human is shameful. I, like Mr. Davis respect your right to express your opinion and I as I’m sure Mr. Davis shall, will pray for you.

Wow, you have some anger issues. Who am I? I am a Pastor. I have taken my BA in Ministry with Prairie Bibel College and have years of experience with youth, worship, and more. I take my theology very seriously. When I see Scripture being misquoted, misused, inappropriate things haoening in supposedly Christian comics - yeah, I get annoyed. You called ma an idiot, you called me crazy. At least you stopped short of the "ultra-right-wing-conservative" label. You being a woman as a Pastor? That's another issue. See 1 Timothy 3 and 1 Timothy 2:12 for that issue.
As to the issue at hand, this company has not said they will change what they are doing rather they would keep doing it and let people decide for themselves. Hardly respectable. If they truly wanted to reach people for God - why not let them know about their need for salvation? I realy despise products that water down the message of the Gospel to "not offend" people with it. I seems to recall Scripture saying,
Mark 8:38
38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels." (NIV)
I am not ashamed of the Gopel of Christ and I will speak of it boldly - not smashing it over someone's head, but taking time to at least share it with others whether they think I am crazy for sharing it or not.
As for Archangels - have you read the entire series of the Saga and the Fall? Both are Scripturally accurate and both have incredible messages. Maybe you should actually evaluate the series more.
As for Guardian, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Anyone who compromises on sharing the Gospel without appology and who has done what they have - I cannot in good conscious support it. Why would I recommend this to anyone in mu congregation? I can't. Maria, you say you are full of a proper Christian response - really? Name calling is a proper response? I don't attack when someone admits they are human, I am against when someone uses that as an excuse to justify an inaccurate Biblical comic that is presented as a true Christian product. Do I bash until people see things my way? No. I stick to the facts. Here they are:
Guardian has naked angels
Guardian has misquoted Scripture using angels as their vehicle
Guardian has shown inappropriate images that even some secular companies would blush at
Guardian has admitted to showing a flawed product and reiterates they will not change it
Guardian comics are little more than good moral messages, leaving the Gospel and the need for salvation out
These issues are what I have contention with - not with someone being human. Your logic is flawed Maria. Your basis for accusations against me are wrong. Your methods of attack are wrong. Someone who puts out a product like what Guardian has done and refuses to change when told of the error of their ways by Christians are indeed obviously only in this for the money - there can be no other explanation. What stops them from changing? They don't want to offend people with the Gospel. So then they are more concerned with a "fan-base" then presenting the Gospel? That is a clear sign of a sell-out if I ever heard one.
Your attack against me was not done in love Maria, it was done in vengence. Vengence belongs to the Lord, not us. I and others have pointed out the errors of their ways to Guardian. They refuese to listen and change. Scirpture says that when that happens we are to shake the dust of our feet off towrads them and be on our way. That is what I was going to do here. Then you attacked me, made this personal. Did I attack you? No. So whay are you attacking me? You criticize me for expressing my beliefs on here and that I am not opened minded and so on, yet here you are doing thet very thing you accused me of. Very hypocritical. If you have an issue with someone then do so in love. Your comments were not in love, but in rage. Yeah, this is who people should follow.
